NEXT LUNCHEON

A PIONEER BROADCASTER
will be honored

Surprise Guests

Additional Photos from our luncheon honoring Bob Eubanks and Stephanie Edwards

Two very close friends, Stephanie Edwards and Sam Rubin, KTLA entertainment reporter, met in the green room prior to the November 13 celebrity luncheon. Stephanie and Sam were hosts on a KTLA morning show several years ago and told stories about that experience from the podium. (Don Graham photo)

Iconic radio personality Dave Hull ("The Hullabalooer") and PPB Board member Carson Schreiber chatted with honoree Bob Eubanks prior to the luncheon. Eubanks was responsible for bringing the Beatles to LA for a 1964 Hollywood Bowl concert, and from the podium, Hull, who was on stage with Eubanks at the concerts, told how Eubanks turned a $25,000 expense into a $250,000 take following the concert. He also related a hilarious story involving the Beatles and soft drink Dr. Pepper. (Don Graham photo)

Our celebrity luncheons always provide fascinating inside stories about our honorees, and the November 13 luncheon was no exception. It was revealed that Sandy Martindale, shown here with hubby Wink and honoree Bob Eubanks, had been Bob's secretary before meeting Wink! If you don't attend PPB's celebrity luncheons, you miss out on getting all the inside scoops. (Don Graham photo)

PPB's Chairman of the Board, Jeanne DeVivier Brown, spent time chatting with honorees Stephanie Edwards and Bob Eubanks prior to their celebrity luncheon. Jeanne is an entertainment celebrity in her own right having spent a career booking talent for various events through the years, including PPB's celebrity luncheons. In the background, dais guest Arnold Shapiro enjoys a laugh with PPB President Alan Perris. (Don King Photo)

KTLA's presentation of the Tournament of Roses Parade each year has been carried worldwide by the American Forces Network to service men and women serving overseas. AFN's retired Director of Broadcasting, PPB member Bob Matheson, presented souvenir AFN ball caps to Bob and Stephanie thanking them for their many years supporting our military. (Don King photo)

Former LA City Councilman Tom LaBonge revealed to the large luncheon crowd many interesting stories about our honorees. Capping his remarks, he presented Bob and Stephanie with a loaf of his favorite bread from a bakery in his former district. (Don King photo)

PPB President Alan Perris presented the beautiful Art Gilmore Career Achievement Award to each honoree individually. Here Stephanie Edwards graciously accepts the award from Alan. She had some hilarious anecdotes about her co-anchor, Bob Eubanks, telling the crowd that "He's a sneaky one!" (Don King photo)
